You've finally found your safe space to heal trauma

I’m Dr. Emma Church, trauma and abuse survivor, Trauma Recovery Coach, Certified Trauma Professional, Reiki Energy Healer, and Human Rights Consultant.

I draw from almost 2 decades of experience as a psychotherapist and intuitive healing modalities to help you holistically heal—mind, body, and soul.

Are you ready to find your true voice, reclaim your power, let go of negative self-talk, and live your most authentic, joyful life? Let’s manifest it together!

YOU ARE WELCOME EXACTLY AS YOU ARE. MY PRACTICE IS INTERSECTIONAL, INCLUSIVE, AND COMPASSIONATE.

What Is Trauma?

Trauma is both uniquely personal and subjective—and it’s predictably destructive to the mind, body, and spirit of the human animal.

Leading trauma researcher Gabor Mate states that trauma “is not what happens to you; it is what happens inside you as a result of what happens to you.”

The mental health field is young, and new research is beginning to paint a picture quite different from the antiquated and debunked “chemical imbalance” hypothesis that has built the psychiatric and pharmaceutical behemoths that claim to cure the human experience.

Increasingly it seems that most mental health problems are deeply rooted in trauma. Trauma that can be intergenerational, developmental, collective, incident-specific, and complex.

To tackle the mental health crisis, a new vision for healing must be set forth within a holistic framework that looks at the person in context. Post-traumatic growth and spiritual awakening are keys to address our suffering in a way that creates meaning, purpose, and expansion.

I’m here to help you look within to discover the gifts your trauma has given you.

Why pursue the healing journey?

This approach to holistic wellbeing is greater than the sum of its parts.

As you do the work of understanding your traumas, you will likely begin to comprehend the social and cultural programming that has caused your disconnection from your true self. As you develop practices of self awareness, mindfulness, and self inquiry, the world around you will begin to change.

The benefits of your healing ripple out and touch friends, family, and the world around you. When you make the choice to heal your trauma, you contribute to collective healing passed down for generations to come.

When you heal your heart, you heal the world.

Dr. Church saved my life.

“I came to Dr. Church in my second year of law school experiencing extreme brain fog, memory loss, anxiety, emotional flashbacks, and burnout. I was convinced I had this diagnosis and that diagnosis, terrified that my world and mental state were falling apart. After my first session, I knew everything would be ok, perhaps painful, but ok. I’ve been seeing Dr. Church weekly, sometimes twice weekly, for almost two years, and I have come ridiculously far in my healing journey. What I once saw as a “normal childhood” I was able to accept as emotional and psychological neglect, allowing space for an uncountable number of SAs, abusive romantic relationships, toxic friendships, and blind pattern-following. Healing is a super long journey, and I have a long way to go, but I know I’ll be ok, and I owe that surety to Dr. Emma Church without a fraction of doubt.”
